Occupational health records of 37,206 South African miners employed at several mines scattered all over the country between 2000 and 2003 were analyzed. Crude point prevalence proportions of common occupational diseases were estimated. Results: Cardio-respiratory tuberculosis (CRTB) was the most prevalent occupational disease at 40.55%.
